Hello I’m Lorenzo De Nava and I’m an Italian UEFA “B” licensed coach. For the last number of years I have been working in the youth sector of Lazio. I am very happy to take part in this soccer project that should be a worthwhile experience for myself, the staff and all the boys participating. I thank the organization and I look forward to seeing everyone on the field.
Hello I am Mirko De Francesco, an Italian UEFA “B” licensed coach. I’m very happy to be part of this project and I can’t wait to work with you all on the field. Thanks and I’ll see you soon.
Hello, I’m Gianni Aprea, an Italian soccer team manager with many years of experience in youth sectors. I collaborate with the Italian Football Federation and Frosinone and many other Serie A and Serie B clubs in Italy, always looking out for new talent. It is with great pleasure that I’ve accepted the invitation to attend the CPI camp that should provide many opportunities for participating young athletes. I hope to meet many of you and hope that you are able to fulfill your dreams of becoming a professional soccer player, perhaps even in Italy. Goodbye. I hope to see you there.
Hello, I’m Bruno Banal, Coordinator for the AS Roma Academy and I’m very happy to be participating at this camp. Good luck to everyone. Thank you.
Several top international player agents, club sporting directors, scouts and coaches are attending the first annual Collegiate Prospects International (CPI) Boys ID Camp Mar 21-24 at the 360 Soccer Centre in Vaughan.
Canadian players aged U9-U19 will be evaluated and assessed by talent scouts from around the world, including top agents from Europe, South America and North America.
Players are invited to train with top-level coaches during evening training sessions on March 21st and 22nd followed by all day training on March 23rd before participating in small-sided games all day March 24th.
At the conclusion of the camp, the top 22 players will be rewarded with trophies and selected to participate in a playing tour across Europe.
Players who distinguish themselves during the camp are eligible to receive trial invitations to any number of top professional clubs or academies.
Among the many invited guests assessing the Canadian talent are FIFA player agents including:
- Alessandro Cardinale, who specializes in placing talent from Eastern European countries such as Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic;
- Marcos Serioux, who specializes in assessing talent from Major League Soccer and the Canadian Premier League; and
- Ovidio Colucci, who scouts Brazilian talent for Italy’s professional leagues.
Also attending the camp are notable international academy coaches including:
- Bruno Banal, a former pro scout and coach and the academy director for AS Roma since 2000;
- Gianni Aprea, former team manager for several championship-winning AS Roma youth teams and now a collaborator for Serie A side Frosinone and several other Serie B clubs
- Giuseppe Stasio, a former AS Roma youth academy coach and scout and now the head of the youth academy at Flaminia Calcio.
Registration and equipment pickup will be held on Wednesday March 20. The three-day training sessions begin Thursday March 21 and conclude Saturday March 23. Sunday March 24, the final day of the camp, is reserved for games.
Registration is open to boys aged U9-U19 divided into two categories with the U9-U12 group training in earlier sessions and U13 and older training later.
